After the cancelled Ellington Study Group Conference in Washington D.C. in 2020 and the online DESS Ellington Meetings 2021 and 2022, Maison du Duke – the French Duke Ellington Society – has decided to organize a full scale Ellington Study Group Conference in Paris April 28-30, 2023.
It will be a conference to learn about Elllington’s relationship to France and Paris but also about his music and muscians. There will be three days of presentations and tours of jazz quarters Paris and a lot of music.

So you can say that the ticketing will be available in the next few days. The conferences are free. Admission is free but reservation is recommended. In other words, we advise the public to buy a ticket before coming to the conferences to be sure to attend. However, if we find during the conference that some places are still free, people who have not taken a ticket in advance will still be able to attend the conference. The ticket is therefore a guarantee that you will be able to attend the conference. We will set up a half-day ticketing system. There will be 4 different tickets for the 4 half-day conferences (Friday and Saturday).
I would also like to inform you that tickets for the concerts at the Bal Blomet and the Sunset are already available.
